The article presents a detailed analysis of the clinical and functional implications and complications associated with minimally invasive surgical techniques in cardiac surgery (MCIS). ACMIs have emerged as a remarkable innovation, characterized by less surgical trauma, faster recovery and improved quality of life for patients. The comprehensive review of clinical and functional outcomes highlighted the benefits of these approaches in a variety of cardiac procedures. However, the choice between ACMIs and traditional techniques should be based on the individualization of the patient and the complexity of the procedure. Furthermore, preventive measures and proactive management of complications are crucial. As minimally invasive cardiac surgery continues to evolve, improving specialist training and keeping up to date with technological advances are essential to maximize the benefits of this surgical modality. In summary, ACMIs represent a promising alternative in cardiac surgery, providing significant advantages when carefully applied and under strict surveillance.
