This article sought to discuss emotional aspects associated with gastroenterological disorders, which are conditions that affect a significant number of individuals around the world. The main objective of the proposed research is to investigate the emotional aspects associated with gastroenterological disorders, in order to understand how emotions can influence the function of the gastroenterological system and to identify emotional management strategies to help patients with these conditions. The methodology used in this study consisted of a comprehensive and detailed systematic review on the topic of emotional aspects associated with gastroenterological disorders. For this, several research sources were used, including databases, books, scientific articles and relevant journals in the medical and psychological field. The results revealed a significant relationship between emotions and the function of the gastroenterological system, especially in the context of stress and anxiety. These emotional factors can negatively affect the function of the digestive system, leading to the emergence of gastroenterological diseases and dysfunctions, such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and functional dyspepsia.
