Abstract

Introduction: The world is going through a delicate moment in relation to global health that has been affecting countless countries and families. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in March 2020, a state of pandemic was declared, due to the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), also known as COVID-19 (WHO, 2020). Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE) arrives in Brazilian Education as a possibility to reduce the impacts caused to the teaching-learning process. Objective: to analyze the perception of Physical Education students in relation to teaching-learning processes in remote classes. Methods: The study is characterized as a descriptive, cross-sectional and quantitative research. The target population of the study were undergraduate and graduate students in Physical Education at the State University of Piauí - UESPI. Results: Most students had a place reserved for classes in remote teaching, had regular access to the internet at home, using broadband, which was considered of good quality. The results found showed that 51% (RM =3.79) of the students partially agreed that the digital resources were easy to use and that they helped in learning. The results reveal that 43% (RM=2.11) of the students strongly disagreed that they felt concentrated in class. Conclusion: In this sense, it was possible to understand how Physical Education students perceive the ERE and the factors that interfere in this process with the perspective of reducing future damage to education. There were also negative factors in the ERE, which deserve greater attention, such as the impact on training, the difficulty in absorbing the contents, the materials that differed little from the face-to-face, lack of practical classes, lack of concentration, lack of motivation and interaction between teachers -student.
