This article presents a literature review on Light Steel Frame (LSF), an innovative construction method that utilizes galvanized steel profiles in structural production. This review encompasses the history of the system, from its origins to its evolution into an efficient and sustainable technique in modern times. Several sources were utilized, including monographs, articles, dissertations, and books published from 2010, with support from Google Scholar and the Brazilian Steel Construction Center (CBCA) as primary research sources. The article highlights the benefits of LSF compared to traditional construction methods (masonry - reinforced concrete), emphasizing its speed of execution, optimized use of materials, energy efficiency, and reduced waste generation. Furthermore, dry construction offers advantages in terms of cleanliness and on-site safety. In conclusion, LSF represents a promising solution for the construction industry.
