USE OF LICIT AND ILLICIT DRUGS AMONG STUDENTS

Abstract

Entering the university can become a critical and more vulnerable period, due to the new environments and because they feel pressured in relation to their studies and the future, but we also know that most young people today, in order to fit in, end up starting to use alcohol and cigarettes too early, to participate in a group in which everyone drinks and smokes, the young person ends up feeling pressured to do this act due to the influence of friends, in addition to family relationships, which are of paramount importance for the formation of habits at this stage . Through the applied questionnaire, we can evaluate the reasons for the exaggerated use of alcoholic beverages and smoking and prevention methods, since prevention, in addition to improving the individual's social life, both in the professional and personal environment, also several related health problems can be avoided, thus generating a better quality of life.
