Abstract

The archaic superego is an ego designation that assumes that during a response to anxiety stimuli, the individual channels this helplessness and develops defense mechanisms, which involve a conversion of the death felt inside refracted to the outside, generating in his organism sado-masochistic object relations. In view of this, among the several pathologies involving serial killers, the sadistic and schizophrenic content of the individual is observed in 93% of the cases in the serial murder behavior. Within this perspective, the present work aims to analyze the mental context of individuals who present the title serial killers, proposing a mental systematic analysis. Thus, the methodology used In this work, the methodology used was by means of the construction of the study through the development of research of exploratory type and of qualitative nature, having as research technique the literature review, under the narrative format, using the databases of the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Google Scholar, Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association and Brazilian Journals of the Health Area. Thus, it can be inferred that the conduct of serial killers is closely related to their development, refracting their emotions and pathologies in criminal conduct.
