Abstract

One of humanity's greatest challenges has always been to control, reduce the impact or eliminate the suffering caused by disease. The health of a population does not depend only on the use of health services and medicines. However, their contributions and the importance of medicines in health are undeniable. The following work was developed through field research with the drugstore Popular citizen in the municipality of Castelo, a city in the interior of the southern region of the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, aimed at verifying the panorama of pharmaceutical care in the municipality. Professionals responsible for dispensing medicines were interviewed and what are the main challenges faced so that the pharmacy can continue with its activities in a diligent and speedy way, other data were collected in due course that will be presented in the body of this work, all the data presented were collected and gathered. following the technical norms and always referenced.
