Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS) are forms of health care that are different from allopathic medicine, prioritizing the integrality of the individual in therapeutic management. Review the scientific literature in order to verify the main integrative and complementary practices, along with their benefits, made available to users within the Unified Health System. This is an integrative review, using studies in the Lilacs, Medline and Science Direct databases, searched through indexed descriptors in the Health Descriptors platform (DeCS), selected through the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. Among these practices, Acupuncture, Phytotherapy, Homeopathy, Lian Gong, Meditation, Reiki, Tai Chi Chuan and Yoga stand out. Its use during treatment in patients with chronic diseases has been well reported, improving their quality of life. Therefore, the PICS show several benefits and diversity for the treatment of patients.
