ABSTRACT: This academic work is the result of a bibliographical and field research carried out with level II elementary students at a private school located in Natal / RN in the North Zone, which aimed to present the use of the application of new technologies in teaching of trigonometry by teachers and students, aiming to contribute to the process of teaching mathematics learning. It is verified that this application can improve in the teaching process participative, constructive and interactive learning, provoking the development of the students. Thus, today, in the XXI century, it is questioned how the new technologies allied to the computer science can make that the students modify negative conceptions on the mathematics, being interested in the discipline, being aware of the importance of its contents approached and consequently recognizing usefulness in everyday life. In particular, we chose to focus on the topic" trigonometry. The research had a qualitative approach, based on questionnaires and observations of the activities that were developed by the students. Quantitative data are presented through tables, tables and descriptive texts. In addition, the research allowed to conclude that the technology is being inserted gradually in the schools, and that some teachers already use it in classes. However, we still find some difficulties in the use and a great lack in the qualification of the teachers to use the new technologies as pedagogic tools facilitating the learning. At the end, it was possible to perceive modifications of students' negative conceptions regarding Mathematics, as well as changes in the posture of teachers who became more interested, critical and creative about the insertion and use of new technologies in the classroom for the development of teaching- learning
