NEW TIMES, NEW POSSIBILITIES: USING PODCASTS TO FOSTER SCHOOL INCLUSION

Abstract

This article addresses the need to promote practices that encourage the inclusion of individuals with special educational needs, in order to highlight the importance of their presence within schools. The present study was developed through bibliographic research and adopted a qualitative approach, with the general objective of contributing to the creation and dissemination of inclusive pedagogical practices. The specific objectives are: to explain the relationship between technological tools and teaching, in order to examine how their integration has occurred and how educators have responded to it; to discuss the pedagogy of Multiliteracies, focusing on its application in Portuguese Language classes in the fifth year of Elementary School; and to present a proposal for classroom work to be developed in the Portuguese Language subject, using the podcast as a pedagogical tool for the creation of digital material aimed at raising awareness about the importance of school inclusion. It is expected that this research will contribute to the production of scientific material on the topic addressed, as well as support the development of appropriately contextualized pedagogical practices concerning school inclusion.
