THE MERIT OF THE CELEIRO DOS PROPHETS INSTITUTION IN THE SOCIAL REINSERTION OF DRUG USERS AND DEPENDENTS IN PORTO VELHO

Abstract

The objective of this article is to verify, through analysis of the questionnaire applied, whether the social reintegration developed by the Institution Celeiro dos Profetas is being carried out in accordance with the principles and guidelines established by Law no. 11,343/06 (Drug Law). Drug dependence or addiction is a complex problem that ultimately affects not only the physical and mental health of individuals, but also their ability to function productively in society. The methodology applied in this study was carried out using the field research method, with observation, collection, analysis and interpretation of data, so that it is possible to understand and explain the researched problem. Data collection techniques such as interviews, forms, questionnaires, etc. were used. The data were examined and interpreted in a bibliographical theoretical context. The researched institution has a high level of commitment in following the guidelines established in legislation related to public policies on drugs. However, there are challenges that need to be overcome, such as the lack of a complete multidisciplinary approach and the need to expand education and employment programs for those recovering.
