Introduction: In recent decades, the relationship between Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and eating disorders has attracted increasing scientific interest, especially due to the impact of these conditions on glycemic control and treatment adherence. Objective: To analyze the scientific production on the interaction between eating disorders and T2DM, identifying trends, patterns, and gaps in the literature. Methodology: A bibliometric review was conducted using the National Library of Medicine (NLM/PubMed) database, covering the period from 2006 to 2026, using the descriptors “Diabetes Mellitus Type 2” and “Eating Disorders.” A total of 21 articles were included after applying eligibility criteria. Analyses were performed using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix software, considering variables such as year of publication, countries, authors, keywords, and co-authorship networks. Results: A recent increase in publications was observed, with a higher concentration in 2024 and 2025. Scientific production was mainly concentrated in developed countries, especially the United States. The main topics addressed included mental health aspects, such as depression, and therapeutic interventions. Authorship showed low recurrence, while co-authorship networks demonstrated scientific collaboration. Citation impact was concentrated among a limited number of authors. Conclusion: The topic shows expansion and increasing relevance in the scientific literature, with a multidisciplinary approach. However, there is a geographic concentration of studies and gaps in developing countries, indicating the need to expand studies and strengthen international collaborations for a better understanding of the topic.
