LA ENFERMERÍA EN LA ATENCIÓN PRENATAL A MUJERES ADOLESCENTES EMBARAZADAS: UNA VISIÓN GENERAL DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DE LAS PUBLICACIONES DE LA DÉCADA ACTUAL

Resumen

Given the severity, fragility, and socioeconomic variables of adolescent pregnancy, how do nurses deal with this specific group in prenatal consultations? This question drove the development of this review article of scientific publications in the current decade, from 2016 to 2026. After understanding the studies selected by this review, the failure of the Primary Care nurse to ensure the comprehensiveness of care provided to adolescents is evident. There is a lack of connection, support, communication, adherence to existing strategies, and effective clinical practice. Academic unpreparedness to deal with prenatal care for adolescent pregnancies is highlighted. It is important to emphasize the scientific silence regarding the reality of pregnant adolescents in rural and riverside areas. These areas deserve and need to be clarified so that the reality can be addressed, discussed, and transformed. None of the articles discussed the participation of the adolescent father in the prenatal consultation.Studies that aim to find a more effective approach to prenatal care for adolescent pregnant women are a hope that the current negative perspective will turn positive. The objective of reviewing publications from the last ten years proved relevant for nurses to understand the clinical challenges of adolescent prenatal care and to prepare with effective technical-scientific practice during academic and professional training.
