HIV remains one of the major public health challenges, with a high prevalence in Brazil. In addition to the characteristic immunological impairment, infection by the virus and the use of antiretroviral therapy are associated with significant hematological alterations, such as anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia. These conditions affect patients’ quality of life, clinical progression, and therapeutic response, underscoring the importance of continuous laboratory monitoring. In this context, the analysis and monitoring of the hematological profile of seropositive patients contribute to the early detection of abnormalities, support clinical decision-making, and improve the quality of care provided.
