Introduction: Subcorneal pustular dermatosis was initially described by Sneddon and Wilkinson in 1956 as a rare, chronic, and recurrent disease. Objectives: To report the case of a 57-year-old male patient whose case does not fit the epidemiology normally found in the disease. Materials: A 57-year-old male patient, born and residing in Jundiaí-SP, underwent a complete medical history and physical examination, as well as histopathological examination. Results: Diagnosis of subcorneal pustulosis with subsequent treatment. Conclusions: Although epidemiology shows more frequent cases in women, we can find a case in a man. Using histopathological examination is indispensable for better diagnostic elucidation, ensuring adequate treatment and reducing the morbidity of the disease, improving the patient's quality of life and, in general, long periods without recurrence.
