MATERIALS USED IN THE TREATMENT OF ROOT PERFORATION: LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

 Root perforations have always been a concern in dental treatment, being one of the most unpleasant accidents that can occur during endodontic treatment, negatively influencing the prognosis of the treatment. The objective of the present study is to carry out a review of the literature on the materials used in the treatment of endodontic perforations. The present study is composed of a review of the literature and exploratory research. We conclude with the present study that there are several types of materials with adequate physico-chemical and biological properties for the treatments of endodontic perforations and that there is no consensus on which material is the most indicated.
