Photobiomodulation is a non-invasive technique that uses light sources to modulate cellular processes and promote biological responses with therapeutic potential. Used in healthcare and aesthetics, its relevance is related to its broad clinical applicability, including neonatal jaundice, wound healing support, psoriasis, acne, and facial rejuvenation. This study aims to analyze the effects of photobiomodulation on facial aesthetics through a literature review, considering its functionality, benefits, and mechanisms of action. It seeks to understand how light interaction influences cellular activity, collagen synthesis, and skin regeneration processes. The study highlights the importance of applying the technique according to parameters, characteristics, and individual patient needs. Bibliographic research was conducted through a qualitative literature review of scientific articles and electronically published works from sources such as BVS, PubMed, SciELO, and Google Scholar, covering 2019 to 2025. The analysis discusses its potential, complementary role in treatments, observed results in relation to factors such as wavelength and exposure time, and prospects when used with appropriate parameters and scientific evidence.
