This article sought to analyze the epidemiological characteristics of notifications of violence against children and adolescents registered in the municipality of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, between 2019 and 2024. This is a quantitative, documentary, and epidemiological study, carried out with secondary data from the notification forms of interpersonal and self-inflicted violence of the Notifiable Diseases Information System. Notifications involving individuals aged zero to 18 years were included, analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics in the Jamovi software, using Pearson's Chi-square test and a significance level of 5%. A total of 2,822 notifications were analyzed, with an increase in records from 332 in 2019 to 604 in 2024. Female victims predominated (76.8%), children aged zero to 12 years (62.7%), and brown individuals (43.3%), with the residence being the main place of occurrence (66.7%). Significant associations were identified between age group and types of violence, recurrence, aggressor bonding and home environment. It is concluded that child and adolescent violence presented a heterogeneous distribution, reinforcing the need for surveillance, prevention, protection and intersectoral actions.
