This article reports the clinical case of an 8-year-old child with multiple carious lesions treated at the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic of UNIFAMMA, highlighting the importance of early oral rehabilitation and preventive measures in pediatric dentistry. This is a descriptive and retrospective clinical case report based on the analysis of the dental record, radiographic examinations, photographic records, and clinical follow-up. At the initial assessment, the patient presented with pain, a cariogenic diet, unsatisfactory oral hygiene, a high plaque index, and carious lesions with different degrees of structural involvement. Clinical and radiographic assessment supported the treatment plan, which included prophylaxis, oral hygiene and dietary counseling, sealant application on permanent teeth 16, 26, 36, and 46, pulpectomy of teeth 55 and 75, and extraction of teeth 65, 74, and 84. Immediate postoperative follow-up showed no complications; however, space maintainers, indicated because of the developmental stage of the permanent tooth germs, were not placed due to socioeconomic limitations and difficulties attending appointments. This case highlights the importance of clinical and radiographic diagnosis, prioritization of treatment, and the combination of curative, preventive, and educational measures in the management of dental caries in children.
