This article addresses the following question: How can auditory training contribute to a user's better adaptation to and utilization of an electronic sound amplification device (ESAD)? Based on this question, the general objective is to analyze available scientific evidence regarding the effects of auditory training on the rehabilitation of adult ESAD users. To this end, an integrative review was conducted by searching for scientific articles in Portuguese across databases and platforms such as PubMed, SciELO, LILACS/VHL, the CAPES Journal Portal, and Google Scholar, specifically covering the period from 2005 to 2025. Initially, 714 articles were identified; after a filtering process, 13 were selected for analysis—comprising 9 clinical studies and 4 literature reviews. The majority of the studies support the assertion that auditory training can contribute to better user adaptation and utilization of ESADs by developing and refining central auditory processing skills. This leads to greater comfort—particularly in acoustically challenging environments—as well as improved comprehension of auditory stimuli (speech).
