CHALLENGES OF LOGISTICS 4.0 IN THE MANAUS INDUSTRIAL POLE

Abstract

Logistics 4.0 was consolidated as a strategic model based on digital integration, automation, and systemic connectivity within industrial supply chains, especially in contexts marked by structural challenges such as the Manaus Industrial Pole. The study analyzed how transportation infrastructure influenced the challenges of implementing Logistics 4.0 in the Manaus Industrial Pole during the period from 2022 to 2026. The methodology adopted was a literature review with a qualitative approach, involving a survey of articles published between 2022 and 2026 in the Scielo, Lilacs, and Periódicos Capes databases, using as keywords Logistics 4.0, transportation infrastructure, Manaus Industrial Pole, digital transformation, and supply chain, with inclusion criteria focused on complete scientific studies and exclusion of publications without academic rigor or unrelated to the digital theme. The results indicated that structural limitations in waterway and roadway modes impacted operational predictability, increased logistics costs, and conditioned the pace of adoption of intelligent systems and industrial automation. The technological maturity of companies was associated with their organizational adaptation capacity in the face of regional physical constraints. The conclusion pointed out that the consolidation of Logistics 4.0 in the Manaus Industrial Pole depends on structural investments integrated with technological innovation, with the strengthening of transportation infrastructure as a foundation for competitiveness and sustainable development.
