Abstract

This article is the result of research that sought to characterize the profile of users who use continuous medications in a health unit in the municipality of Ponta Grossa, in the state of Paraná. To this end, renewal requests from the last 6 months were analyzed, which is the maximum period of validity of a prescription in the municipality. Correlating the medication from the Municipal Medicines List with the ICD-10 of each patient, it was possible to characterize 842 users of the unit. This achievement will allow us to guide actions for the population that uses continuous medications, in addition to expanding comprehensive care, providing information about who and how many these users are.
