SOCIETY’S VIEW ON TRUST IN THE MILITARY POLICE

Abstract

Current society still maintains a certain resistance in relation to trust in public security institutions, especially the Military Police. This is due to the fact that there is a certain distance as a result of past disastrous experiences. It is possible to redunde this gap and this depends on the actions of both society and the Military Police, supporting each other so that they can reduce crime; mutual cooperation and proximity consequently increase the trust that the community can have. Even so, it is possible to use instruments to publicize the successes achieved in police activities that have a positive impact on the population, increasing their credibility even further.
