ELECTRIC SHOWER: HISTORY, OPERATION, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF THE EQUIPMENT

Abstract

The act of bathing has been present since antiquity and at the end of the 19th century baths became more common and frequent as medicine evolved and the need for bathing for hygiene and disease prevention arose. The electric shower is a piece of equipment created in Brazil, that is relatively simple and inexpensive to install. The main objective of this article is to present the electric shower, its history, operation, installation, maintenance and repair. The methodology used was the bibliographic review where it was possible to know the equipment in more detail. From the research carried out, the history of the bath from antiquity to the present day was presented, as well as the emergence of the electric shower to the current models. Even though it is a simple piece of equipment, its installation must be carried out with a certain rigor, so that it does not pose risks to its users.
