In addition, artificial intelligence has shown promise in the early detection of ocular pathologies, allowing a more accurate and effective approach. such as wet macular degeneration, offering impressive results in terms of preserving vision. Additionally, minimally invasive eye surgery such as laser surgery and microincision techniques have provided faster recoveries and more predictable outcomes for patients with cataracts and other eye conditions. The advancement of gene therapy also presents new perspectives in ophthalmology, with the development of innovative treatments for genetic eye diseases, such as retinal dystrophy. Personalized medicine and the application of advanced technologies, such as 3D printing of corneas and the use of customized ocular prostheses, are opening up new possibilities for patients who face visual challenges. In short, this article highlights how advances in ophthalmology are transforming the way we diagnose and treat eye diseases. Current perspectives point to a promising future where collaboration between technology, science and healthcare will result in better visual outcomes and improved quality of life for those suffering from eye diseases.
