Abstract

The book "Dentistry in Motion: A Multidisciplinary Approach – Volume 1" represents an important milestone in the construction and dissemination of knowledge in the field of dentistry. Designed to integrate diverse knowledge and practices, this e-book seeks to broaden the perspective on contemporary dentistry, highlighting its constant evolution, current challenges, and the possibilities for professional practice in diverse clinical and social contexts.

We are experiencing a time of significant transformation in healthcare, in which dental practice is increasingly integrated with other specialties, requiring dentists to have a solid, critical, and, above all, multidisciplinary education. This need motivated the creation of this collection, which brings together chapters carefully developed by students, researchers, and professionals who share a commitment to evidence-based dentistry, ethics, and humanization.

In this first volume, readers will find a variety of topics ranging from aspects of primary care and public health to discussions on minor oral surgery, oral pathologies, technologies applied to dentistry, and relevant clinical issues such as endodontics, periodontics, stomatology, diagnosis, and prevention.
