Abstract

Due to the great difficulty of locating devices that are suitable for the visually impaired, and when found, it has cost limitations, technical limitations and a lack of alternatives, which is why this article sought to develop an innovative Braille display, with the aim of facilitating learning and reading Braille language. The research was carried out with five people with different types of visual impairments, such as total blindness and low vision, lasting one year using descriptive qualitative methodology, case study and agile Feature-Driven Development (FDD), from which it was developed - is a lightweight and portable device based on Arduino, made up of a functional cell that reproduces characters in real time.
