HUMAN RECOGNITION THROUGH FORENSIC DENTISTRY – A REVIEW

Abstract

This article sought to describe the use of forensic dentistry in the identification of victims in disasters through a selective database search on the chosen topic through a review. For data collection, an extensive search of scientific articles was carried out in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo and Scopus, where the data that were analyzed will be discussed in the literature review, discussion and conclusion. In summary, that this study exposes the relevance of forensic dentistry inserted in the field of human identification, bringing all the its possibilities of recognition methods and their uses.
