The brown stink bug (Euschistus heros) is a major pest affecting soybean crops, particularly in Brazil. It derives its name from its predominantly brown coloration and exhibits a high capacity to adapt to field conditions. The primary issue arises because the insect feeds on developing soybean pods and grains. By inserting its mouthparts into plant tissues to feed, it can cause damage resulting in reduced grain weight, deformities, and a loss of physiological seed quality. In this context, this study aims to analyze the impact of the brown stink bug (Euschistus heros) on soybean crop productivity and to examine integrated management strategies, with an emphasis on chemical and biological control methods. The work takes the form of an integrative literature review using a qualitative approach, covering publications in Portuguese and English from the last ten years sourced from Google Scholar, digital libraries, scientific articles, and field research. The study aligns with the research objective by examining the pest in soybean crops and analyzing chemical and biological control management, highlighting their respective efficiencies, advantages, limitations, and impacts on productivity.
