This article analyzes the applicability and legal-operational requirements of audiovisual monitoring through body-worn and vehicle-mounted cameras in the Military Fire Department of Paraná (CBMPR), focusing on prehospital care (PHC) and inspection activities. An applied, mixed-method, exploratory and descriptive study was conducted through bibliographic and documentary review and analysis of institutional data from SYSBM and PREVFOGO. Between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2026, CBMPR recorded 120,357 incidents; PHC and traffic incidents totaled 82,443 records (68.50%), demonstrating the operational relevance of the selected scope. The analysis indicates that the technology may improve objective documentation, transparency, reconstruction of events and reciprocal protection. However, its applicability is asymmetric: in PHC, risks involving privacy, health data and bodily exposure require more rigorous safeguards than in other firefighting activities. The study concludes that current evidence does not support immediate statewide deployment and recommends a regulated pilot project with data minimization, governance, access control, integrity, traceability and indicator-based evaluation.
