Introduction: Alzheimer’s disease is the leading cause of dementia and a major public health challenge. Objective: To analyze hospital mortality rates due to Alzheimer’s disease in Brazil according to sex from 2020 to 2025. Methods: An ecological, retrospective, and descriptive study was conducted using secondary data from the Brazilian Hospital Information System (SIH/SUS), available through DATASUS. Hospital mortality rates were analyzed by sex and year. Results: The overall hospital mortality rate was 24.39%, slightly higher among women (24.56%) than men (24.08%). Mortality decreased from 27.16% in 2020 to 22.21% in 2024, followed by an increase to 27.20% in 2025. Conclusion: Hospital mortality declined until 2024 but increased in 2025. The findings demonstrate sex-related differences and highlight the importance of targeted public health strategies and improved care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
