Objective: To analyze hospital admissions and in-hospital deaths due to malignant pancreatic neoplasms in Brazil, according to sex, from 2021 to 2025. Methods: This was an ecological, descriptive, and retrospective study based on secondary, aggregated, publicly available data from the Hospital Information System of the Brazilian Unified Health System, provided by DATASUS. The variables evaluated were year of processing, sex, number of hospital admissions, and number of in-hospital deaths. Data were organized in electronic spreadsheets and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: During the study period, 88,223 hospital admissions due to malignant pancreatic neoplasms were recorded, including 44,118 among men and 44,105 among women. A total of 17,374 in-hospital deaths were also identified, of which 8,640 occurred among males and 8,734 among females. Hospital admissions increased progressively between 2021 and 2025, with an overall growth of 37.9%. Deaths also increased during the period, with a variation of 28.0%. Conclusion: Malignant pancreatic neoplasms showed a significant increase in hospital burden within the Brazilian Unified Health System, with a similar distribution between sexes, reinforcing the need for timely diagnosis and improved oncological care.
