This paper presents the results of the extension project Planning the Future with Financial Awareness, developed by undergraduate students from the Business Administra- tion and Accounting programs, aimed at promoting financial education among high school students. Based on the principles of experiential learning (Kolb, 1984) and gamification (Alves, 2016), the project was implemented at Dom Pedro II School, in Porto Velho – RO, on October 10th, 2025. The proposal sought to connect concepts such as compound interest, budget planning, and conscious consumption to students’ everyday experiences through practical and interactive methods. The results indicated that the use of playful strategies enhanced students’ understanding and engagement, even though participation was initially timid. Learning became more meaningful when students related financial concepts to their daily lives. It is concluded that financial education, when developed in real and participatory contexts, effectively contributes to the formation of conscious, critical citizens prepared for economic decision-making in adulthood.
