Abstract

This article examines the relationship between language and Law, highlighting how legal language, characterized by complex structures and technical terms, can hinder access to justice and compromise equality and transparency as enshrined in the Constitution. The study explores how "legalese" functions as a barrier to social inclusion, limiting the understanding and participation of much of the population in legal processes. Furthermore, the text analyzes recent initiatives aimed at simplifying legal communication through the adoption of plain and accessible language, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and democratic system. The conclusion emphasizes the need to restructure legal language as a tool for accessibility, ensuring greater clarity and effectiveness in the application of Law.
