This article aimed to map nursing interventions that facilitate the anticipatory grief process for family caregivers of individuals receiving palliative care. A scoping review protocol was established based on the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology and in accordance with PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The research was conducted using the MEDLINE Complete (EBSCOhost) and CINAHL Complete (EBSCOhost) databases. Articles published in Portuguese, Spanish, and English between January 2020 and September 2025 were included. The results highlight the importance of developing family-centered care plans grounded in effective communication, problem-solving, and informed decision-making—as well as acceptance of and adaptation to an uncertain future—by identifying and managing concerns within the family unit. The included studies identify various interventions considered beneficial in this context, such as creative interventions (e.g., art therapy and music therapy) and educational and psychosocial interventions. Mapping these anticipatory grief interventions underscores the need for healthcare professionals to further develop and deepen their knowledge and intervention strategies regarding anticipatory grief; this enables better guidance and preparation for family caregivers, thereby contributing to the delivery of quality care.
