HUMANIZATION OF CARE DURING PRENATAL IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

Abstract

Objective: The objective of this article was to analyze, based on studies available in the literature, humanization assistance during prenatal care in primary health care, identifying the humanization of care actions developed during prenatal care and the factors that influenced the humanization process. Method: An integrative literature review in accordance with evidence-based practice (EBP) was used as a methodological resource, and data was collected in September 2023 from the following databases: Virtual Health Library (VHL): Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), as well as Cochrane and the Portal of Periodicals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). Results: The final sample consisted of 9 articles. Humanizing prenatal care was subdivided into two categories: Practices developed by health professionals in the process of humanizing prenatal care and Factors influencing the humanization of prenatal care. Final considerations: The data obtained showed that pregnant women's groups, welcoming and the bond between user and professional were able to significantly influence pregnant women's adherence and continuity in prenatal consultations.
